New York Riesling Diary: Day 35

Each day is the beginning of a new Riesling year, but that doesn’t mean the official New Year doesn’t exist. Today I’m taking a train northwards to Albany/NY where friends will pick me up and take me to their home in Williamstown/MA (if you look for this small college town on a map then it’s in the extreme NW of the state). I’ve never been to this part of New England before and winter will be a lot deeper there than it is here in Manhattan. Time to contemplate what has been achieved and the mistakes made along the way; time to look forward and put out mental feelers for new possibilities. I will be back in the city on the afternoon of January 2nd, Day 37, when I will report again. Until then I send my best wishes for the New Year to everyone who took the time and effort to follow STUART PIGOTT RIESLING GLOBAL in 2012, particularly those who contributed suggestions, criticisms and text. Thank you all!
